    This is an interesting perspective on these what I call "Bear Market" rallies. Today we are in an usual set of circumstances where fundamentally sound balance sheets like Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, 3M, CLF, & more can have strong revenue but miss expectations by 5% or less but they'll fall by almost 20%. If they beat expectations they'll barely go above 5% and in many cases they'll fall mysteriously. Today we're in a market full of uncertainty. Things do not make sense in the way equities are behaving. Famed economist Jeremy Spiegel on CNBC said he expects Fed Hikes to cont to rise into 2023 so this won't end anytime soon. Second, Mortgage Rates are above 5% and will cont to rise however there's some good news that Construction of new homes will occur in the next 2 QTRS. The issue today for REITs is Affordability vs. Availability as shared on CNBC. In order to drive affordability there needs to be MORE new homes to cool off demand or if not the scenario will be Hyper inflation of old established Homes as I've seen on these sites. Last, rentals are going higher than the Norm. My understanding is that rent prices are up due to the pandemic as the Govt made it difficult to collect $$$ during the lockdown. This caused many issues for Landlords and Land owners that has driven them to escalate prices above market. So would a person TODAY pay $3,500 in rent for a small 2 BR? I doubt it. Homeownership will always be the prize! Why rent expensively when you can OWN. $ORC, $NLY, $EFC, $EARN, $TWO, $MPW, $CHMI, $AGNC & more will be re-positioned for the future. That's why they've cut the Dividend recently for some. Its going to be full of market uncertainty for awhile. As we face historically high inflation across food, gas, & travel, War in Ukraine will cont into late 2022, Mortgage rates will eventually get to 6%+, Fed will Hike another 50 basis pts and more. This is a bear market so be patient with all REITs as their in different positions. They'll cont to climb as the market normalizes as these are mortgage backed securities by the Government so its protected. Be patient and GL to ALL!!

    #MPW is the go-to in a market awash in uncertainty. Surprised that analysts have not jumped on this in a larger way. Consistent price action, cheap relative to the market, a dividend of close to 6% and a sector that will survive and thrive in C19 land. Forget retail and park your cash in this healthcare facility REIT. Solid and room for growth.

    ...and this is BEFORE the current US nationwide C19 explosion. An amazing short at this altitude.

    And for those who were ready to hang their hat on #SPG with rumors of a flip to AMZN fulfillment centers, perhaps check into what sq. ft. valuations look like for active retail anchors vs warehouse space. I do think this will be a profitable spec @ $US40-50 if they can weather the challenges of the next year. They are well positioned IF they can stay afloat. No way is the principal risk worth the dividend. Seek current income in a less volatile, more diversified REIT like #MPW.

    Love that new car smell. The volatile exuberance of today's action feels like taking a test drive in a car you can't afford to buy. Or maybe you could, but it'd be a stretch. A nice preview of what's down the road price-wise, for so many beaten-down quality equities.
    Consider #MPW as a sound long-term alternative to high beta retail and RE dev REITS. But not at today's levels. Wait til today's optimism dissipates and the market returns to reality. With C19 spiraling across the country, availability and distribution for a new vaccine will be on the other side of the coming winter in the hands of the new administration.

    C19, global retreat into curfews as numbers exceed the worst of last spring, failed back-to-school, and the demise of Black Friday are churning #SPG price action into lower vol, eating at premiums and encouraging longs to cover positions and head to the sidelines...out of retail risk...

    OR into #AMH and #MPW? ... diversifying REIT positions just might provide some principal protection, with strong analyst support and healthy institutional participation at a more palatable price points.

    Good stock, but has large short position. No real reason to get the "negative" change, but the timing is suspect. Without solid support the questionable news change will put the shorts in control and they will force it down.
    IMO, the drop is a short attack and how far we go down is anybody's guess. Shorts have ruined many companies because there is nothing to stop continuous shorting. ( no uptick rule) so big money can short a company right out of business by forcing the pps down until they are outside their covenants and all hell breaks loose.
    Some how shorting should be limited, but I don't know how.
    All this just my humble opinion.
