$MRVL “Meta CEO says 'riding two major technological waves' of AI and metaverse”. Marvell with a much smaller market cap with much higher growth that is relatively unknown by general investors is a better way to capitalize on its growth. Marvell has created technology and/or acquired technology (such as tanzanite just a few months ago) that will help them participate in AI and Metaverse (listen to their CC, presentation, press releases).

The entire semiconductor sector appears to be under fire from so called "analysts" that are actually jack-of-all-trades but masters of NONE. Their archaic thinking in traditional cyclical rotations of the semiconductor industry is forcing stocks prices lower. Even when most chip and equipment companies are crushing earnings, are producing at max capacity, increasing prices, and raising guidance. Global demand would be high regardless of any shortage. 5G, AI, EV, crypto, data centers, cloud tech, gaming, eSports were already ensuring this growth and demand. Now add the new infrastructure spending and the global "arms race" that's taking place. We are in the beginning of a super cycle like never seen, likely lasting many years. Semiconductors are the new #1 global resource....the new oil.
(Fabless) companies like $NVDA, $AMD, $MRVL, $AVGO, $QCOM design the most advanced and sought after semiconductors in the world. (Fab-owning) companies like $TSM, $TXN, $ADI, $QRVO manufacture the chips. Companies like $AMAT, $ASML, $LRCX, $KLAC, $UCTT, $ICHR make all the equipment and materials used by those chip manufacturers. High tide raises all boats! .....and many of these companies are already currently undervalued. GLTA

Jim Cramer from Mad Money has Marvell, Qorvo and Skyworks in his 5G top 3. So far they are all doing great. 5G is going to be absolutely massive.

I think AMD's earnings will be a blowout, since companies like $MRVL, $ON, $MU which have significant datacenter exposure reported significant growth in that segment. AMD is objective the leader in datacenter processors for now.

The semiconductor industry is about to experience the biggest growth years ever. Last year was just the beginning. The amount of new technology pushing this growth, coupled by the supply chain recovery will drastically propel companies like TSM, $ASML, $KLAC, $AMAT, $QCOM, $MRVL, and $NVDA.

If you own and like $mrvl, check out $simo. Both companies make storage controllers, $mrvl as a portion of biz and $simo as all it does. Marvel is fine company with solid growth outlook after a decade of stagnation. Silicon Motion is experiencing huge market share gains from strong design win cycle as NAND makers outsource low and mid range performance controllers primarily to both $simo. As evidence $simo backlog up close to 100% year on year in 2021 and company said revenues would be close to $1 billion without wafer supply constraints, or up 85% in 2021. But supply shortage real so company will hit $1+ billion in 2022 imho and make $7 eps. At current price, stock is 9x's 2022 eps! With 40% organic growth rate, stock should be 20x's at least, or $150.

What Is Levered Free Cash Flow (LFCF)? Levered free cash flow (LFCF) is the amount of money a company has left remaining after paying all of its financial obligations. LFCF is the amount of cash a company has after paying debts. Levered free cash flow is important because it is the amount of cash that a company can use to pay dividends and make investments in the business.

Take a look at BROADCOM’s TTM Levered Free Cash Flow (LFCF) in comparison to peers:

$AVGO = $11.88 Billion —> Note: BROADCOM $AVGO has more than twice the Levered Free Cash Flow than the closest competitor! (BULLISH)

    $QCOM = $5.04 Billion (ttm)

    $NXPI = $2.43 Billion (ttm)

    $MRVL = $1.41 Billion (ttm)

    $SWKS = $588.2 Million (ttm)

STRONG BUY on $AVGO —> $11.88 Billion (ttm) in Levered Free Cash Flow —> FUNDAMENTAL STRENGTH —> SOLID AS A ROCK !!!

It seems like $amd earnings is give a bump to $mrvl. Hoping that $nvda earnings in a couple weeks gives $mrvl another bump before earnings. The Metaverse seems like it is becoming a trend and hopefully $mrvl is doing something in that space and mention that at the CC.

“UBS started Micron Technology with a Sell rating and $85 price target” are we all reading this right? An $85 price target is rather bullish..why would they sell at $52.55? What appears to be the reason is simply because they Started a position with $MRVL. They recommended that and dumped $MU. They may also want more shares of $MU for cheaper; who knows. Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Zacks and Barron’s all have “Strong Buy” recommendations..

Well I still see semi's are etting mistreated.....and they were already bargains before this market temper tantrum. Now they are just insanely cheap! Should be a great time to buy. They are going to bounce back up as soon as everyone realizes their concerns about the industry's "cycle" is not happening. We are still in the beginning of a decade or more long super cycle. The industry has evolved! $TSM $KLAC $ASML $AMAT $QRVO $UCTT $ICHR $MRVL

Well I do understand downgrade but I don't agree with it. The thing is that there will be 2 very positive quarters now it is sort of given and then they probably expect things to return to normal + Q1 is not the strongest quarter seasonally overall. So in other words they expect a normal kind of cycle here. But I think it is not a normal kind of cycle - did you hear before about production halts due to semiconductor shortages? While other firms like $MRVL, $MCHP, $ON forecast very strong demand for 2022 I am sure business will be booming here as well, because firms are reluctant to increase their production capacity significantly - not to get into overproduction when things improve - instead they try to outsource production for the time being where possible. Then again next year will have a significant momentum in consumer PCs and servers because of rotation to DDR5 and new processors, mobile also should be strong because of further expansion of 5G, cause many people still haven't rotated to a 5G phone.

Lumentum should have much higher market cap, $6.5B is a joke. They crank $1.7B in revenues with very respectable growth yet get treated like a red headed step child. $MRVL just bought $IPHI for $10B with 500M annual revenues, not even close to Lumentum’s scale. Lumentum should be a $200 stock
