@Trader Nick 44 - Your argument is dangerously lame, baseless and moot, because there is no god, except in the mind of those who choose to belief that there is a god, any god.

Theism and science are poles apart: theism is based on an unproven belief, while the other is based on irrefutable facts.

Oh Maxi, still following your Darwin religion? Debunked decades ago! You never answered my question from 27 days ago. Darwin's 'change of kinds' rhetoric. Mutations are NOT a change of kinds.lol

    Merriam-Websters definition of SCIENCE:science noun

    sci·ence | \ ˈsī-ən(t)s \
    Essential Meaning of science
1: knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and OBSERVATION.

Maxi is still under the public school first grade indoctrination...it all started 20 Billion years ago. Oh really? Were you there Maxi? How is this OBSERVABLE, according to the science definition? Did you jump into the DeLorean and go back in time? The BIG BANG THEORY has been changed year after year since the 1890's. Fit the narrative. Where did the matter come from? Where did the energy come from? David Copperfield could create such an illusion.Sorry Maxi, NO OBSERVATION. Enjoy your Darwin religion, devoid of SCIENCE!

...looking like uncle J. said all of the words that the quantalgokids wanted to hear and the Evergrande kerfuffle appears to be sooooo yesterday...

We might've just had a compressed version of a 15% or 20% correction.

I think that the following post, which I posted on Friday, is worth re-posting:

    (...)

I guess that the options dealers' gamma, vamma, ramma, bamma, slamma support that was drained outta the market today showed how much "organic" support there is under the equities market.

Buffett's right, when the tide goes out, we get to see who's swimming naked.

    -------

In other words, now that market conditions differ greatly from what the nouveau day-traders have been used to, the options dealers' upward bias-generating hedging is no longer needed, because the nouveau day-traders will be nowhere to be seen. So, pretty much long-term investors' support is what's under the market. Most long-term investors don't open new positions at nose-bleed valuations, at the peak of max stimulus-driven (read: massive debt) "growth", along with a potential credit debacle in the making.

I suspect that many momentum-driven algomachines' levers and buttons are being re-positioned to the downside, as I type.

Buy the dip? $TSLA was $680 a month ago, $560 four months ago and $85 one and half years ago. That's the downside risk. I wouldn't buy anywhere above $300

What about $NIO? It was $2 one and half years ago. I wouldn't buy anywhere above $10. But dont recommend shorting either of these. Instead of buying individual stocks like $GM, $F, $XPEV etc but total stock market indexes..

$ITOT or $VTI - total US stock market. IXUS/VXUS total international. <-- buy and forget it.

if you are super bullish consider $SSO or $UPRO - 2x, 3x SP500. or just buy leaps of $SPY.

Looks like the $SPY is going to open at a 20-day low while being above the 200D SMA. Historically, buying here and exiting at highest closing price in the last 5, 10, or 20 days has backtested well.
Like everything in markets, no guarantees, just historical results.

    Priced In, Huh? Not IMO.
"The vast network of ports, container vessels and trucking companies that moves goods around the world is badly tangled, and the cost of shipping is skyrocketing. That's troubling news for retailers and holiday shoppers.

More than 18 months into the pandemic, the disruption to global supply chains is getting worse, spurring shortages of consumer products and making it more expensive for companies to ship goods where they're needed.
...Shipping companies expect the global crunch to continue. That's massively increasing the cost of moving cargo and could add to the upward pressure on consumer prices.

"We currently expect the market situation only to ease in the first quarter of 2022 at the earliest," Hapag-Lloyd chief executive Rolf Habben Jansen said in a recent statement.

The cost of shipping goods from China to North America and Europe has continued to climb over the past few months, following a spike earlier in the year, according to data from London-based Drewry Shipping.

The company's World Container Index shows that the composite cost of shipping a 40-foot container on eight major East-West routes hit $9,613 in the week to August 19, up 360% from a year ago."

The options-related gamma, vamma, ramma, bamma, slamma plays that create much of the major equity indices' gyrations around options' expiry have gotta be nearly spent. So, when combined with my stuff's readings, I had to put my chips on seeing at least some short-term overall stock market upwardness, starting today.

$SPY is up, Brent oil is up, and $XOM is down. That's what we call a day that ends in y here.

there is no bullish thesis to this stock if it follows Brent and market down, but never follows them up.

There is a clear bearish divergence on 1 year chart on $QQQ and $SPY also noticeable on the 180 day chart. This came right after a hidden bullish divergence on the last dip buy that happened. We are likely to see a correction and I think this will be a major correction probably 7-8% on $QQQ to around $350 to test the major uptrend line we put in since last year
