Congrats longs on another $cvs earnings beat…..I also like $PFE $TD and $FDX for great strategic positions, generating tonnes of cash and very low PE and PEG ratios. Happy to hear insights from other strategic value longs - great time for us to beat the market!

This market is funny. $SNOW and $TD both have market caps of approx. $100B US .... $SNOW reported $148 million in revenue last quarter .... $TD just reported $3 billion in adjusted earnings ... I know growth rates blah blah blah but who in the heck is paying 170 times revenue for $SNOW? It will have to grow its revenues by 1,600% to even be valued at a generous PS of 10 ... it’s fully valued for years ... these growth names are setting up for a slaughter

Some nice raises for US banks, I firmly believe when eligible $TD will raise its dividend by +20%
This is because a raise of 20% brings their DPS to $3.80 and based on their trailing EPS of $7.77 is a payout ratio of roughy 49% which is between their target of 40-50%
Their trailing EPS of $7.77 is based on 4 COVID Q’s. Their earnings per share will increase over the next 4 Q’s. it is actually not unrealistic for this DPS to be $4.20 in 2 years which is approx. 33% higher than today’s dividend.
$TD only raises once a year unlike other Canadian banks, so these large increases are not unrealistic in my opinion.
I think buying today is equivalent to buying a 2022 yield of 4.41% (DPS 3.80) and a 2023 yield of 4.90% (DPS 4.20)
Not crazy high yields, however for a company that pays out less than 50% of their earnings and has a lot to gain from raising interest rates puts them in an excellent position.
The 5 year trailing dividend average is 3.79%. based on my 2023 dividend per share projection of $4.20 that implies a share price of $111 (4.20/ 0.0379).
That implies a 4.9% yield on today’s money with a 30% capital gain.
Not firework YOLO returns like $AMC. however, when the party ends and valuations matter again, you’ll be happy owning something that you only paid 11 times earnings for.

CVS has a forward PE of 12, Top Line +10% Bottom Line +30%. Business performance is accelerating despite low valuation and local integrated health care vision (including Aetna integration) is working……strong buy and a core holding. Believe CVS is also good inflation hedge. Well done to management team for a good year. I also like $PFE $FDX $td.to $l.to for similar great valuation, business momentum and strategic position (competitive moat). Do your own due diligence but this little group of companies is rocking it!
I am sure we all feel the Google dropping and while other stocks are rebounding is beyond our comprehension. I do know the followings: Any stock, profitable companies like Google, that have had a split in the past have always gone back up and even higher price. Here are few examples, $APPL, $TSLA, $COST (Twice), $TD, $NVDA and much more. SO, google is no exception - it is a great company and therefore, I am buying more. I have a 5 year plan and this stock is a perfect pick in my financial plan.

When these banks are allowed to raise their dividends $TD may be able to increase it by 20% to 0.95/ Q and still be within their desired payout range of 45% +/-
This is the most undervalued bank in the entire sector. Increase of dividend to come by eom and analysts upgrading to sector perform with BUY rating. Price targets have all been increased ;).

Go $td.to like to see divi increase and share buybacks! I am long $TD.to $L.to $CVS and $PFE all have low valuations, incredible strategic moats and blowing away earnings and are cash machines! Long and strong!

Surprised so many on this board are pointing to high analyst estimates as a reason to hold or buy Peloton…..look at Pfizer…virtually no upgrades in more than 6 months even though they are generating $30B in cash and growing over 100% top and bottom line and accelerating…….looking at analyst calls is a lagging not leading indicator. I like Peloton brand but am not comfortable they have figured out how to break even, despite their scale in a pandemic. I will continue to watch….I hold no position Peloton for an entry point if they can show they won’t go bankrupt…..instead I am enjoying being long $PFE $FDX $td.to $aapl
Wow Canadian banks offer way higher dividends. $BNS $TD

Cibc is the cheapest of the big canadian banks now. The dividend is higher than TD. With recent just in time acquisition of US banks. , profits will surge.
This is because a raise of 20% brings their DPS to $3.80 and based on their trailing EPS of $7.77 is a payout ratio of roughy 49% which is between their target of 40-50%

Also as expected, no dividend increase with this earnings announcement. I expect the next dividend hike in 3 months.
Not that anyone cares...
