Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. engages in the research and development, design, production, and sale of semi-conductor silicon materials and components, rheostats, and optical and communications wafer materials. The company operates through Semiconductor, Solar Energy, and Automotive Components segments. It provides multi-crystalline silicon materials, pseudo square mono crystalline wafers, multi crystalline wafers, and solar cells and modules. The company also offers technology and management consulting services; and technical services for the photo-voltaic power system generation and installation. In addition, it is involved in the solar cell manufacturing; sale and wholesale of electronic materials; power generation; processing and trading of ingots and wafers; investment activities; and manufacture and sale of LCD driving ICs and other application-specific ICs. It operates in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, the United States, Italy, the Philippines, and internationally. The company was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
