The company operates through Environment, Commercial, Water, Water (Overseas), Production, Engineering & Infrastructure Projects, and Network & Smart Cities segment. It is involved in the water management, energy distribution and production, gas distribution, waste valorisation, handling of engineering services, and sale of electricity and natural gas, as well as supplies value added services. The company generates electricity through hydro, thermal, and photovoltaic sources. It also provides sludge management, treatment, and recycling; waste-to-energy; waste disposal management of recyclable plastics; water services; laboratory analysis services, and engineering and consultancy services; public lighting; energy management; and design, construction, and management of integrated water systems. ACEA S.p.A. was founded in 1909 and is headquartered in Rome, Italy.
