Coattec Industries, Inc., a development stage company, engages in developing roofing foils and housewraps for housing and other building construction. It holds a license to manufacture and distribute roofing foils and housewraps under the tradenames, COATFLEX, COATTECFLEX, and DIFFLEX in North America and Latin America. It develops a proprietary plastic sheeting used in the construction industry to act as a water repellent, antibacterial house wrap, underlay and roofing foil that inhibits mould, resistant to tear and noise, and flame retardant, as well as to provide UV protection and to allow moisture to escape. The company was formerly known as EMC Group, Inc. and changed its name to Coattec Industries, Inc. in May 2004. Coattec Industries, Inc. was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Lakeland, Florida.
