Hundreds of Protesters Arrested as Universities Blame Outsiders for Escalating Violence
Police in LA declared a pro-Palestinian encampment at UCLA an unlawful gathering after protesters ignored a dispersal order. Hundreds of protesters were arrested across several campuses, as universities and police cracked down on what they say are outsiders escalating pro-Palestinian demonstrations. The Manhattan district attorney’s office said about 280 people were arrested at Columbia University and City College of New York.
